Hugs and Quiches!!

Black Forest Ham & Vegetable Quiche:
(Simple and easy recipe for any meal!)

Ingredients:

1: A quarter of a yellon onion, minced
2: One quarter inch thick slice of black forest ham, diced
3: One red bell pepper, diced (set aside four slice
like the ones photographed above for garnish)
4: Canola oil (or your cooking oil of choice)
5: 1/3 of a cup of heavy whipping cream
(try to stop yourself from pouring extra)
6: 1/3 of a cup parmesan cheese, grated
7: 1/3 of a cup frozen spinach, thawed
     8: 1/4 of a cup frozen peas
     9: 4 eggs
10: Salt and pepper to taste
11: frozen pie crust (my favorite brand pictured
below, available at Whole Foods )

1: Saute onions, ham, and bell pepper on medium to
low heat in canola oil and sprinkle with salt. Cook
         until onions have become translucent
2: Remove veggie and ham combination from heat and
transfer into a medium bowl and let cool completely.
3: Once cooled, add cream, parmesan, spinach, peas,
eggs, salt and pepper. Mix lightly.
4: Line pie baking dish with pre made pie crust, fill with
delicious egg mixture, fold over the extra crust, and
garnish with slices of bell pepper
5: Bake as directed on the pre made pie crust's box.....

.....And gimme a quiche!

(as you can see I am guilty of adding extra cheese at the end)

Served with a side salad of romaine hearts and
radish along with some purple grapes, yum!

Yours,
Nico
